AGRICULTURAL KNOWLEDGE SHARING SEMINAR: JOINING HANDS TO UNLOCK THE POTENTIAL OF VIETNAMESE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
Enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products goes beyond product quality. It also depends on knowledge, collaboration, and meaningful support for farmers. With this vision in mind, I, together with the AgriFruit Project partnered with the Can Tho Farmers’ Association to organize theAgricultural Knowledge Sharing Seminar: Unlocking the Potential of Vietnamese Agricultural Products. The event brought together local government representatives and more than 30 outstanding farming households, creating an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore practical solutions for a more sustainable agricultural future.
Connecting Knowledge for Sustainable Agriculture
The seminar was attended by Mr. Pham Thanh Hoai, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho Farmers’ Association, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Chairman of the Thoi Hung Agricultural Cooperative, along with more than 30 outstanding farming households from across the region.
During his remarks, Mr. Pham Thanh Hoai highlighted the challenges currently facing Vietnam’s agricultural sector, particularly the growing impacts of climate change, including drought, saltwater intrusion, and increasingly unpredictable weather, all of which directly affect crop productivity and farmers’ livelihoods. At the same time, he emphasized the remarkable achievements of Vietnamese agriculture, noting that an increasing number of Vietnamese agricultural products have successfully entered international markets, strengthening the country’s position on the global agricultural map. He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of young people who are committed to supporting local farmers and shared his hope that initiatives like the AgriFruit Project would continue to grow. In particular, he encouraged me to keep promoting Vietnamese agricultural products to the international community so that the dedication and hard work of Vietnamese farmers can receive the recognition they truly deserve.
From Knowledge Sharing to Meaningful Action
Beyond the knowledge sharing sessions, one of the most meaningful parts of the seminar for me was the opportunity to sit down and talk directly with local farmers. We exchanged real life experiences about crop cultivation, improving product quality, and the challenges they face throughout each growing season. Listening to their stories gave me a much deeper understanding of the realities behind Vietnamese agriculture and inspired many ideas for AgriFruit Project’s future initiatives.
Continuing this spirit of collaboration, I presented a donation of VND 10,000,000 to support local farmer development programs. While the contribution may be modest, it reflects my commitment, together with the AgriFruit Project, to giving back to the farming community. It also reinforces my belief that promoting Vietnamese agriculture requires not only innovative ideas but also meaningful action.
A Milestone for a Continuing Journey
As part of the seminar, I was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the local authorities in recognition of my contributions to promoting the value of Vietnamese agricultural products and supporting local farmers.
Receiving this recognition is not only a memorable milestone for me but also a great source of motivation for the AgriFruit Project to continue creating meaningful initiatives in the future. Through programs that connect knowledge, support local communities, and celebrate Vietnamese agricultural products, I hope to continue working alongside farmers and contribute to building a more sustainable agricultural sector where they have greater opportunities to grow and thrive.
As the seminar came to a close, what stayed with me was not only the knowledge shared or the donation presented, but also a stronger belief in the power of collaboration between farmers, local authorities, and the younger generation. I believe that by continuing to listen, learn, and work together, we can help bring the story of Vietnamese agriculture to more people around the world and ensure that the value created by our farmers receives the recognition it deserves.
