FROM A GUAVA ORCHARD TO LESSONS IN SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Behind every high quality guava is years of dedication, experience, and hard work. As part of my journey with the AgriFruit Project to better understand Vietnamese agriculture, I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Cao Van Dao’s guava orchard, where I listened to his stories, learned valuable knowledge about crop cultivation, and gained a deeper appreciation for sustainable farming.
Exploring a Large Scale Pear Guava Orchard
One of the highlights of my journey was visiting Mr. Cao Van Dao’s guava orchard, which covers more than 3 hectares and is well known for cultivating pear guava. Walking through the orchard and talking with Mr. Dao gave me a better understanding of what it takes to build a successful farming model, from selecting the right varieties and caring for the trees at different stages of growth to maintaining fruit quality that meets market demands.
What impressed me the most was that every lesson he shared came from years of hands-on experience. There is no single formula for a successful harvest. Instead, it takes careful observation, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing weather conditions and farming environments. These practical experiences have helped create a stable farming model while ensuring long term economic value.

Learning Through Real Farming Experiences
Besides touring the orchard, I also had the chance to talk with Mr. Cao Van Dao about crop care, monitoring tree growth, managing pests, and maintaining fruit quality throughout the growing season. Every conversation gave me a new perspective on farming, where success comes not only from hard work but also from the willingness to keep learning and adapting.
These conversations not only gave me valuable practical knowledge but also helped me better understand the quiet dedication of farmers behind every quality harvest. I believe that when these experiences are shared, they can create lasting value for the agricultural community. They also inspire me and AgriFruit Project to continue connecting with more farmers, listening to more real stories, and working together to promote the value of Vietnamese agricultural products.
Every Journey Brings a New Perspective on Vietnamese Agriculture
Every farm visit gives me much more than knowledge about crops. It is an opportunity to meet the people who dedicate themselves every day to preserving and developing Vietnamese agriculture. Through these simple but meaningful conversations, I have come to realize that the true value of Vietnamese agricultural products lies not only in the quality of the produce itself, but also in the people behind every harvest.
I hope the journey of AgriFruit Project will continue with more visits, more conversations, and more inspiring stories. Because only by truly listening to and understanding our farmers can we help share the story of Vietnamese agricultural products in an authentic, meaningful, and sustainable way with communities both in Vietnam and around the world.
